Trapped and alone,
the feeling of helplessness consuming her every being.
She doesn't know where to go next,
who to go to,
what she needs to do.
She does nothing instead,
waiting,
her hope drifting further away
with every passing person
that walks by her.
Not noticing,
or just not caring.
How could you not care?
I care,
I care for others just like me,
she thinks.
Alone in her own thoughts,
she ponders the idea of
feeling important,
longing for the feeling of hope.
She longs for the day she feels again.
Feels anything at all.
You've captured so many feelings here, many of which more people could relate to than we might guess. These lines are especially powerful: "She does nothing instead, waiting" (totally been there myself) and "She longs for the day she feels again. Feels anything at all."
